@JohnPhilpin My understanding is that they both lost a great deal of money on their applecard partnership. This understanding comes from snatches of cable news gibberish and a sort of mad glancing around at screens all the time which I still call reading, so...perhaps it is only a matter of degree, one man's bath is another's tsunami, or puddle, if you're into the whole brevity thing...

Someone doesn't understand a product, then writes about their misunderstanding, which readers (mis)understand as worthwhile opinion, and mention it to their friends, and so on.

On a contrarian note,  did take a bath with GS recently on the consumer credit market, so someone could have written about that, and what it might mean...
