@joshuapsteele People can serve themselves best when they a) make laws, b) make sure the laws are not bogus, and c) enforce the laws they have made; legislative, judicial, and executive, which is near-replicated at federal, state, and other admin levels in US. It’s a pretty good model.

It’s just not easy to do, what with incentives and all.

Welcome! These parts are purdy durn friendly...not thirsty afaict, with so much interconnectivity its not entirely clear how to capture in a snippet all the great things going on.


@pratik it really is the most basic respect to use the names of those who have them, those who have chose them. I balk and flap at language turbulence out of habit (with the purpose of exercise) and reflexively go on alert when I sniff prescription, which is easy to mistake for what is actually happening in this national conversation. I did initially at least...

Expected or not, these changes are often difficult to navigate, even with soothing balm of ritual and the support of all who remain. You and your family and friends will remember and tell stories about the infinity of moments shared with your pa before this turning point.
