Yes, I believe there is consensus that we tire of self righteous lecturing twits giving voice to banalities, unenlightening edge cases, and anecdotal humble brags about the favor they think they are doing everyone. Their offerings originate in deep seated fear of irrelevance, or preventing some inaccuracy in the panopticons morality spreadsheet, it is difficult to tell with all the yelling.

That they would (also) appear on BlueSky and Mast prompts me to ask myself if this phenomena is common enough to be expected in social software per se, or particular only to scaled commercial extractive social software, or something to do with identity?

One should try to ask three impossible questions before lunch, right?
