@jayeless perhaps a loosely literal translation of the German colloquial “Was gibt’s?“ Which means something more like "what is on offer, what does it give?" with the it being the it when it rains.

@baldur The 'Add Bookmarks for These XX Tabs...' command under Bookmarks menu will create a folder with links to each open tab. Add a keyboard shortcut and you'll have a bit more to work with for tab management...

@hollie ❤︎ that minty green keeps popping up! tho capturing the shimmering saturation of it all remains elusive. 🤨🤩☘️🦚🌵

@pratik It seems so suspiciously automagical...software just scannin’ away looking for new drops! Not tryin’ to diminish the real danger these shithead’s pose to themselves and everyone else, but I can’t help thinking this might often be machine augmented stupidity and hate. Imagine two chatbots arguing about the best ways to rid ourselves from X type of people who aren’t really people, and then newsbots reporting on the dialog about X types...weeeee!

@gregmoore @BenSouthwood @alexandra

It’s unreasonable how many good shows they’ve got ready to watch, season after season of quality schtuff: Ted Lasso of course, but also Slow Horses, and For All Mankind, and Long Way Up (and Down and Around!), and Schmigadoon! (the exclamation point is part of the title, unlike this one!), and Tiny World, and The Morning Show, and on and on.

Of course, there is no accounting for taste, but that list is like < 20% of the titles on offer, and none of the movies. It’s kind of ridiculous.

@gingerjet @tenet
"...infosec only started..." ← there’s yer problem right there, of course—pronounceable acronyms.

[ edit: yes, technically abbreviation, or something, not an initialism...should I go look it up? ]

[ edit: right, it’s a syllabic abbrev., so not only pronounceable, but much more common than had registered with my intuitions. ]

@JohnPhilpin true, RSS functions as a rolling archive, or can. If I want to make sure folks see edits to a post, I'll link to it in a fresh post, which requires some comment on my part, so I don’t always do it. And when someone pulls down my feed they can always ask for historical (unread) and get everything in there.

And if I find that I’ve just got way too excited (this is very rare;) and posted a lot of material directly in the app/web rather than first editing local and then publishing, well, I can just RSS a category of posts, and then pull the resulting stories into my text editor...you get it.
